Catherine Alice Reilly Kane, 100, of Sykesville, formerly of Bridgeport, PA, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Transitions Healthcare in Sykesville.
   Born April 20, 1914, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose Brady Reilly. She was the wife of the late Joseph Gregory Kane, Sr. who died in 1990.
   She was a homemaker. She graduated from St. Augustine Commercial Bridgeport School in 1929. Catherine worked previously at the PA Railroad and as a book keeper at Tri-County Egg Producers. She was very involved with the Women’s Auxiliary at St. Eleanor’s RCC for years. She had just celebrated her 100th birthday with her family. She was the last of her immediate family.
   She is survived by sons Joseph G. Kane, Jr. and Gregory M. Kane. She is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter C. Carole Kane Bono, son John M. (Jack) Kane, sisters Mary Elizabeth Reilly, Frances Reilly
(Sister Rose Carmel), Anna Marie Reilly, Phoebe Reilly Talone, Pauline Reilly Kuhn, Margaret Reilly Denczi.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 19th 10 AM at St. Eleanor’s Roman Catholic Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville PA 19426
Internment will follow in St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery, Upper Marion Township, Montgomery County PA. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD and one hour at  St. Eleanor’s Roman Catholic Church  prior to Mass at 10AM on Monday May 19th 2014. The family requests no flowers be sent.
