Carlton Harveson Obituary

   Carlton B. Harvey Harveson, 76, of Reisterstown, died Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the BridgingLife Hospice in Westminster surrounded by family and close friends. Born November 22, 1947 in Sacramento, California, he was the son of the late Richard Carlton and Alice May Yocum Harveson. He was the devoted husband of Nancy Getz Harveson. They were married on March 25, 1977. They had been married for 47 years. Harvey was retired from The Social Security Administration where he had worked as a computer programmer. He had previously worked at Martin Marietta. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War Era. He loved riding his Harley Davidson, boating, drinking beer and spending time with family and friends. He was a life member of both the Bucs Club and the VFW Post 521 in Tollgate. He was also a member of American Legion Post 116 in Reisterstown and the Reisterstown Moose. In addition to his wife Nancy, Harvey is survived by daughter Janine May Gross, son William Frederick ‘Fred’ Norton, sisters Linda Bennett and Carol Gensler, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren and brother-in-law Frank Burke. Funeral services and interment will be private. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland is assisting the family with arrangements.
