Calvin Vernon Buhrman, Jr., 68, of Westminster, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Carroll Hospital Center.
   Born January 15, 1947 in Baltimore he was the son of Sylvia Ferrari Buhrman of Sykesville and the late Calvin Vernon Buhrman, Sr. He was the husband of the late Barbara Buhrman who died December 9, 2009. They had been married for 35 years.
   He was a retired defense contractor with the U.S. Government. He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and had graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the NRA. He loved going to gun and knife expos. He also loved his family and being outdoors especially golfing, fishing and hunting. He also loved his Brittany Spaniels Gunner and Phantom.
   In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth A. Jenkins and Gary, Jr. He is also survived by grandchildren Cody and Dylan Duvall and Gary Jenkins, III.
   Funeral services will be held Thursday, 12 noon at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784. Interment will follow at Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
