Betty Jean (Miller) See

Betty Jean Miller See, born October 22, 1938 in Rockbridge County, Lexington, VA. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Rebecca Miller. She retired from the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services in Woodlawn, MD. She enjoyed gardening, reading, bird watching, TV and spending time with her family and friends. She had a love for red velvet cake, chicken tenders and a burger very well done. She was affectionately called Grandma See or Aunt Boop by her many grandchildren and nieces. Surviving are son David See and his friend Heather Downs of New Windsor, Steven See of Eldersburg; sister Judith M. Riley and her husband Harry Riley, Alan Miller and wife Phyllis Miller of Lexington, VA and Charles Miller and wife Janice Miller of New Mexico. Grandchildren Bryan and Megan See, Trevor Munk and his brothers Joshua and Jacob Downs. She was predeceased by her son Robert See in 1974. She was a member of Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 1:00 PM at Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church, 961 Johnsville Road, Sykesville, MD with her pastor, the Rev. Ian Collier, officiating. Interment will be private. Light refreshments will be served afterwards in the social hall. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Maryland is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
