Bernadette V. (Buchwald) Weckesser

Bernadette V. Weckesser, 80, of Westminster, died Monday, February 7, 2022 at BridingLife Dove House. Born August 24, 1941 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Albert Buchwald, Sr. and the late Bernadette Virginia Durnin Buchwald. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Weckesser, Sr. who died on December 5, 2003. They had been married for 44 years. Bernadette was a home maker. Bernadette was an avid reader. She also enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and taking trips to Ocean City, MD. She is survived by son Robert L. Weckesser, Jr. and his wife Sylvia, daughter-in-law Brenda Weckesser, siblings Carol Haines, Thomas and Albert Buchwald, Jr., Janet Wolf, Victoria Gray and Kenneth Knight. She is also survived by grandchildren Deyanna Finch and husband Kyle, Elayna Brown and husband Steve, Michael Weckesser and wife Jessica, Kaitlyn Weckesser, Daniel & Randy Sullivan and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Joseph Weckesser and brothers Richard Buchwald and Ronald Knight. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 11, 2022, 12:30PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD. Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:30AM till time of service at the funeral home.
