Anthony J. Imbraguglio

Anthony J. Imbraguglio, 74, of Sykesville, died Thursday, February 18, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Born July 15, 1946 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Anthony E. and Elinor Ellen Isabel Hickel Imbraguglio. He was the husband of Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Imbraguglio. They had been married for over 52 years. Anthony had retired from Verizon, formerly Bell Atlantic and C&P Telephone, where he had worked as an Installer and Cable Splicing Tech. He had worked with them for 41 years. He had graduated from Edmonson Senior High. He was also a member of the Army National Guard Reserves. He was a member of the Westminster Seventh Day Adventist Church where he was active as a Sabbath School Teacher, helping with special music and an Elder. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his wife Betsy and their family. He enjoyed working in his woodshop, doing home projects, and vacationing in Hawaii, Disney World, Williamsburg, and the beaches at Ocean City. He loved going to amusement parks with his family and the thrill of roller coasters. He dedicated many hours over the years singing at nursing homes to the elderly. In addition to his wife, Anthony is survived by daughter Tanya Imbraguglio, son Anthony Imbraguglio and his wife Nancy, sisters Lynne Boston, Robin Dean, Lana (Imbraguglio) Foose and her husband Bobby and sister-in-law Ruth Ann Imbraguglio. He is also survived by grandchildren Zachary and Brooke Barbour, Skylar and husband Tim Heiss, Joshua, Logan, Alexis and Sydney Imbraguglio and great-grandson Rowan along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Paul Imbraguglio. The family will receive friends from11:00AM till time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 24 at 1:00PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park. Masks must be worn and social distancing will be in place at the funeral home and cemetery.
