Alessandro Pacifico

Alessandro Pacifico, 85, of Sykesville died Sunday, March 20, 2022 at his home. Born February 2, 1937 in Altavilla Silentina, Italy, he was the son of the late Francesco and Carmela Cuppolo Pacifico. He was the husband of Giuseppa ‘Angelina’ Pacifico. They had been married for 64 years. Alex was a chef by trade. He had also retired from Giant Food Corporation. He loved to cook and take care of his swimming pool but his ultimate passion was to be surrounded by family. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Community Church and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Anna Roys and husband Steven, sons Gerardo ‘Jerry’ Pacifico and his wife Loretta ‘Penny’, Francesco ‘Frank’ Pacifico and his wife Rene’. He was a loving grandfather ‘Nonno’ to Matthew and wife Lisa, Robert and wife Emily, David and wife Amanda, Gina and husband Tony, Nichole and husband Robbie and grandson Randy. He was a loving great grandfather to Avery, Scarlett, Silas, Arya, Angelina, Janae, Nevaeh, Carter, Colton and Gabrielle. He was preceded in death by brothers Gerardo and Giuseppe Pacifico. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, located at 6028 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Maryland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 28, 2022, 11:00am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 915 Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD with the Rev. John Worgul officiating.
