Mary “Teri” Mercedes Costanzo, 80, of Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Rockville, Maryland, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Carroll Hospice.
Born December 13, 1937 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Jacoby Stahr. She was the wife of the late Arthur James Costanzo who died on December 12, 2006. They had been married for 45 years.
Mary was a retired school crossing guard for the Montgomery County Police Department. She was a member of the Lady’s of the Elk Lodge #15 in Rockville, Maryland and the Loyal Order of The Moose Lodge #1406 in Melbourne, Florida. She enjoyed playing mahjong, sewing, reading, dancing, partying going to the Ocean City beaches and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by daughters Robyn Christine Marsden and husband T.G., Kimberly Ann Costanzo and Mary Kathryn Corrus and fiancé Brian Foster. Mary is also survived by sisters Rose Thir and Dolly Brown, brothers Jerry and Jack Stahr and grandchildren Shawn, Patrick, Brian and Margaret Marsden, Anthony, Richard and Zachary Mounts and Kaitlyn and Tyler Corrus. She was preceded in death by sisters Betty Wachs, Kathy Crawford and grandson Joseph Mounts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 520 Viers Mill Road, Rockville, Maryland, 20852. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from
6-8 PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland and from 10-11 at the church on Thursday.
