Kathy Ann (Walker) Updike

Kathy Ann Updike, 54, of Sykesville died Sunday, August 20, 2017 at her home. Born February 5, 1963 in Odenton, MD, she was the daughter of Crola Mensch Walker and the late Raymond Walker. She was the wife of Carl Field Updike. They had been married for 6 years. She was a licensed day care provider. She was a member of Elders Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Kathy is survived by daughter Karissa England and husband Jeff, son Carl Smith, step children James, Christina and Lindsey Updike, siblings Janet Hall, Raymond, Kenneth, Walter and Albert Walker , mother-in-law Mary Anne Updike and father-in-law Mark Updike. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM , at Elders Baptist Church, 1216 Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784. Internment will be private. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784 is assisting with funeral arrangements.
