John Daniel Miller, 76, of Eldersburg, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Seasons Hospice.
Born April 29, 1941 in Beulaville, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Ethro and Annie Batts Miller. He was the loving husband of Paula A. Miller. They had been married for over 54 years.
John was a professional salesman of plumbing specialty items for Wolverine Brass. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served on various ships including the USS The Sullivans during the Cuban Missile Crisis. His passion was playing golf with his family and friends. His second passion was vacationing for the last 47 years in a row at White Lake, North Carolina. He was a member of the Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors Association in Falls Church, Virginia. Most of all was his devotion to his family, sitting by his pond and picking blueberries.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by sons Mathew Paul Miller, Jonathan Mark Miller and wife JoAnn, David Leigh Miller and wife Tracey, Jamison Daniel Miller and wife Katie, brothers Fred, Willie, Harry and Ray Miller, sister Maude Dawson and grandchildren Justin, Chad, Nick, Kristin, Kimmy, Abby, A.J., Lily and Jack. He was preceded in death by brothers Ted and Jessie.
Services and interment will be private. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
