George Linz, jr. Obituary

George William Linz Jr of Sykesville, formerly of Henderson, MD passed away Saturday January 27, 2018 at his home. He was born May 15, 1956 in Baltimore, MD, the son of George William Linz Sr of Westminster and the late Mildred Maith Linz. He was the beloved husband of the late Jo Allison Linz that passed away September 22, 2015. In addition to his father, George is survived by his daughter and son in law Sherry and John Kinsley, two grandsons Tyler Clark and Jonathan Kinsley, sisters Ruth Schoonmaker and Veronica (Bonnie) Kessler and brother Joseph Linz. He was preceded in death by siblings David Linz and Catherine Bray. George loved listening to music, watching football, westerns and old war movies. He had a heart of gold and was quite the jokester. George enjoyed all of his life’s work. He was proud of his service with the Merchant Marines and loved sharing his stories of traveling the world with his family. His favorite saying was “You touched my heart”. A memorial service will be held on Sunday February 11th at 2:00p at The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD.
