Elmer Frank Marousek, Jr., 77 of Sykesville, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Sinai Hospital. Born September 4, 1940 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Elmer Frank Marousek, Sr. and the late Mary Frances Marousek. He was the husband of Barbara Ann Marousek. They were married for 56 years. Elmer was a Special Agent with The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Inspector Generals office at NASA from October of 1959 until March of 1995. He graduated from Calvert Hall High School in 1958. He received his Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and his Juris Doctorate in 1963 from the University of Baltimore. He played basketball for both Calvert Hall and The University of Baltimore. Elmer enjoyed lunches at Timbuktu with his friends, he was an avid Raven’s fan and played handball and racquetball in his younger years. . He was the last of his immediate family. In addition to his wife Barbara, Elmer is survived by daughter Luann Michelle, son in law Rod Hollenberger, son and daughter-in-law Brian Michael and Laura Marousek, grandchildren Brooke, Brett and Brynn and his dogs Chloe and Shiloh.
A Catholic Prayer Service will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 12:00 PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland. The family will receive friends from 11 till time of service at the funeral home followed by a reception at the Hollenberger residence.
