Charlotte Riggs Obituary

Charlotte Elizabeth Riggs, 86, of Ellicott City, died Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Future Care Old Court in Randallstown surrounded by her family. Born September 4, 1932 in Cooksville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Isabell Dixon Williams. She was the wife of the late Warren Francis Riggs, Sr. who died in 1961. She had retired from Springfield State Hospital after 38 years of service as a dietician. Charlotte was a member of Mt. Gregory United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and sang on the church choir. She enjoyed music, cooking, sewing, going to yard sales and casinos. She is survived by sister Sara Green, brother Joseph Smith and granddaughter and caregiver Yvonne Riggs. She was preceded in death by son Warren Francis Riggs, Jr. and daughter Edwardina Riggs. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12 Noon at Mt. Gregory United Methodist Church, 2325 Washington Rd, Cooksville, MD 21723 with her pastor, Rev. Lorraine Brown, officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive at the church Tuesday one hour prior to the service. The Jeffrey N.
