Sharon Dawn (Auerback) Weaver

Sharon Dawn (Auerback) Weaver, peacefully departed this life on April 4, 2024 at the age of 74. Sharon was born on September 15, 1949, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Albert Burnley and Virginia Ann (Richardson) Auerback. A woman of many roles, Sharon was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherished sister, and loyal friend. Her passion for the arts led her to the stage, where she found joy in acting, stage managing, and directing. Sharon's talent and creativity illuminated the theaters she graced, leaving a lasting impact on all who witnessed her performances. Beyond the stage, Sharon dedicated herself to making a difference in the lives of others as a special education paraeducator. Her compassion and dedication enriched the minds and hearts of countless students, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. Sharon's greatest joy came from her role as a mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Dorianne (Steven) Wojtowycz, and two grandchildren, Virginia Grace and Thomas Benjamin, who were the light of her life. Sharon is also survived by her brother Steven (Linda) Auerback, her devoted life-partner, Lee Sapperstein, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Virginia and Albert, and brother Lynn Auerback. In honoring Sharon's memory, let us celebrate her passion for the arts, her commitment to education, and her boundless love for her family and friends. Though she may have taken her final bow, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her kindness, talent, and love. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, 11:00 AM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home. 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland, 21784. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home. A luncheon for attendees will be held at Liberatores Restaurant in Eldersburg following the service at the cemetery.
