Matthew Jared Norris

Matthew Jared Norris, born on June 18, 1986, in Annapolis, MD, passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 37. He was a beloved husband to Brittney Norris, a devoted father to Joshua, Eli, and Caroline, a loving son to John D. and Judith Norris, a cherished brother to Lauren Teal and a loving son-in-law to Richard and Linda Wheeler. Matthew's career at the National Institute of Health since 2010 was a source of pride for him. He dedicated himself to his work and made significant contributions in his field. In addition to his professional achievements, Matthew had a passion for carpentry. He was known for his exceptional talent in crafting furniture, bringing creativity and skill to his projects. Survived by his immediate family, Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph and Helen Uhlhorn, and John E. and Mary Norris. Matthew's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 1125 St. Michaels Road, Mount Airy, Maryland, 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 3rd, with Rev. Fr. Paul Sparklin officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens Marriottsville, Maryland. A luncheon will be held at the church following the services at the cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland.
