Madelene May Kellner

Madelene May Kellner, 81, of Jessup, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Howard County General Hospital. Born April 19, 1935 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William F. Scharf and Anna Simmons Killmeyer. She was the wife of the late George J. Kellner who died January 25, 2000. They had been married for 43 years. She had retired from the Howard County Public Schools as a cafeteria manager. She enjoyed ten pin bowling and attending flea markets. She also was an avid camper with the Essex Pandas Camping Club where she is a lifetime member. Madelene is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Margaret A. Reed and Jeff, Kathleen M. Enos and Linwood, sister Patricia Robertson and step sister Joyce Balk. She was also the loving grandmother of Stacey and Travis Pearcy, Jen and Zach Snyder, April and Chris Barefoot, Sirena Williams, Scott Williams, Jr., Paul Shotter, Greg Williams, Samantha Weaver and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters Shirley Freund and Anita Drury and son-in-law Scott Williams, Sr. Funeral services will be held Monday, 11:00 AM, at the Orem United Methodist Church, 1020 Orems Rd, Middle River, MD 21220, with Pastor Christopher Dembeck, officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD.
