Janice Myers Walker, 82, of Eldersburg, died Friday, April 13, 2018 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born January 24, 1936 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Laura Bell Myers. She was the wife of the late Benny Walker who died in 1996. She had retired as an administrative secretary with Western Electric. As a young girl growing up in Dundalk, she was voted Miss Point Breeze. She, along with her husband were entrepreneurs and owned and operated various businesses such as a Dunkin Donuts in Dundalk and a wholesale car business. In her later years she was a part-time receptionist at Elements of Style. She was a dog lover and a dog walker and an avid animal rights advocate. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America as well as a great fan of the Orioles, Ravens and NASCAR. She also worked diligently for the National Kidney Foundation. Janice is survived by daughters Kimberly Walker, Alicia Pizza and husband Joe, brother William ‘Bill’ Myers, grandsons Justin and Kevin Pizza and great grandchildren Dean, Carlee, Gianna and Vincent Pizza. She is also survived by her adored pet dog Daisy. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon till time of service at the funeral home. Following the service the family will receive friends at Richardson Farms, 6040 Glen Arm Road, Hydes, MD 21082.
