Doris ‘Dottie’ Brodt Donnelly, 81, of Eldersburg, died Monday, July 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. Born December 14, 1935 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late William Charles and Doris Anna Cummings Brodt. She was the wife of Urban Macken Donnelly. They had been married for 58 years. She had worked as a real estate agent with Long and Foster along with her husband. Prior to that, she was an elementary school teacher. She enjoyed boat cruises, playing cards and being with family and friends. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, a dedicated member of the church choir and mentor of the acolyte program. In addition to her husband, Dottie is survived by daughter Lori D. Eidsness of Durham, NC, daughter and son-in-law Kim D. and David F. Reed of Eldersburg, granddaughter Shannon M. Eidsness of Wilmington, NC, granddaughter Jenna R. Tripp and husband Matt, granddaughters Katie E. Reed, Carly M. Reed and great grandson Landon Tripp all of Eldersburg. She was preceded in death by son-in-law Eric C. Eidsness. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 7, 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 7538 Main St., Sykesville, MD with Rev. Charles Shacochis officiating. Internment will follow in Springfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157. The Jeffrey N.
